Monthly meetings
Our Moms Monthly Meetings (MMM's). A great place
to learn more about the organization and listen to interesting speakers
– takes place once each month either at a local meeting room or in the warmer months, outdoors. Examples of guest speakers we have had include college investment planning, teaching your child to read, holistic health pediatrician, cooking instruction, personal trainer, protecting yourself and much more! We aim to find a new topic monthly so there is always something new to look for!
Weekly playgroups
Weekly playgroups are one of our most popular offerings
because they create an instant network of moms with similarly aged
children and provide lasting friendships through weekly interaction.
Our organization helps coordinate members into these smaller groups based on ages and / or time constraints.
Fun events
Each month we provide a calendar with lots of
interesting and varying options. These include park days, craft-making
sessions, tours of local businesses, museums or places of interest,
pool days, hikes and other field trips. Many activities are free,
although some require a small fee. We try to accommodate children of
all ages whenever possible. The MOMS Club board is always looking
for new activities, so please don’t hesitate to make suggestions!
Park play days and hikes
Park play days and hikes are a great time to enjoy the
fresh air with other moms and kids. During the warmer months we get
together at local parks to let the kids play. These are good times to
pack picnic lunches and make a day of it. We also like to set up monthly, stroller-friendly excursions so we can
take advantage of our beautiful surroundings and expose our children to
Colorado’s great outdoor offerings.
Mom’s Night Out
Once a month we get together at local restaurants, the
movies or other interesting places to chat and unwind. These gatherings
are very informal and a great way to get to know each other
better.
Sunshine committee
Our Sunshine committee coordinates volunteer efforts to
help with meals, errands and/or babysitting for moms with an illness,
family emergency, new baby or new home. Our sunshine coordinator is the
person to turn to if you need help or want to suggest it for another
mom.
Newsletter
Our newsletter is published monthly and is emailed as
an attachment to all members. They can also be picked up at the
MMM's or mailed to your home - just let us know when you join if you would like it delivered to you in a way other than electronic format. The newsletter includes
the monthly calendar and has attached with it details of every MOMS Club event, as well as
other club news, information on new members, birthdays, recipes, events
around town, snippets of humor, classified ads and a current roster of
member names and phone numbers. Members are asked from time to time to
contribute articles or information to the newsletter.
Calendar
Part of the above-mentioned newsletter, our monthly
calendar is a great tool when planning your family’s schedule.

Service Projects
To keep our non-profit status, we are obligated by MOMS
Club International to do one service project that benefits children
each year. After that, we can do more service projects if the club
agrees. Our club typically strives to perform a service project a
month, but every two months is our average. Ideas for service projects
are given to the Administrative VP. As moms who are fortunate enough to
stay at home with our children and give them the best we can, it is
good to reach out to our community and beyond to help those who are
less fortunate, and to demonstrate to our children what it means to
help others.
E-group
We have our own little place on the Internet for any
member who has access. It is called an e-group and is a
password-protected area to share ideas, swap opinions and more. Each
new member with an e-mail address will be “invited” by e-mail to join
if she so wishes. It is a good way to catch up on MOMS Club news when
the kids are in bed!
Executive Board/Board Meetings
You may notice on our calendar that we have monthly
board meetings. Each MOMS Club chapter has an Executive Board
comprised of the President, Administrative Vice-President, Membership
Vice-President, Treasurer and Secretary. All positions are held
for a one-year term from July to June.
We encourage members to try out as many of our activities as they feel
comfortable with. Any interests or hobbies not covered by the list
above can be easily turned into an “official” MOMS Club event by
talking with a Board Member.
We hope you get a lot of enjoyment and all the support you need from
our club!
